If you are reading this then that means you have made it to the website for the artist Kenzie Carter. While normally the writing you see here will be directly from the artist herself, today I am here to give you a quick introduction to her and tell you why you should support this amazing artist.
To start, my name is Micaela Levesque and I am one of Kenzie’s friends who is helping her with the initial set up of her digital gallery. I’ve known Kenzie since high school and over the years I have always had at least one piece of her art hanging in my home. Her works are body positive, encouraging, and reminiscent of the great adventures we have shared. While her messages have been consistent in tone her art style has morphed and improved. Kenzie is continually working to improve her technique. As my friend, I am incredibly proud of everything she has done; as an artistic peer, I am in awe of her every day.
You (YES YOU) should buy something from Kenzie. She has originals, a Redbubble store, and of course she has lovely commissions. Her pricing is understandable and representative of a living wage for the number of hours she puts into her work. More than that, by supporting an artist like Kenzie you are supporting someone who dedicates her life to working toward a better world. When she isn’t making art Kenzie works with organizations to support those who are struggling in her community. She is always working to be better herself and also make her community better than it was the day before.
So take a look! Find something you love! And if you can’t purchase something yourself, share her work with your friends. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
